What the Slop score means
Lower Slop score is better. Known human writing scores between 9 and 21, raw, unedited AI drafts average 77, and 25 is the line where human readers start to notice slop. The score describes the writing, and is not an AI authorship detector. It just detects all the “sloppy” tells and fixes them.
What the rewrite does and does not do
Pressing Rewrite generates the rewrite of your original input, scored by the same scorer, and is rejected and retried if it does not clear the quality bar: the scorer judges the rewrite, which is how the skill works too. Key facts are shown as kept so you can see nothing was lost or hallucinated in the output.
